Themes

From Astronomy to Weather, there are 125 themes to browse. Each first day cover has been allocated up to three different themes. A very broad approach has been taken when allocating the themes, e.g. the largest ocean liner and a toy boat could both be included in the theme ‘Ships & Boats’. However, whereas the ocean going liner might also appear in the ‘Maritime’ and ‘Leisure & Recreation’ themes, the toy boat might well appear in ‘Toys & Games’ and ‘Children’ themes.
