Notes:

I believe that this superb Burns business customised sheet is the first to use the Scottish Lion stamp. The labels feature the two Post Office stamps issued in 1966 together with images of Burns birthplace, Scot, Wha Hae, Brig O'Doon, Burns monument, To A Mouse, The Twa Dogs, O my luve's like a red, red rose, and the house in which Burns died.

The border illustration features all things connected with Burns at the top, with people and characters from his life at the bottom. The top image is taken from artwork by William McLaren with that at the bottom taken from a 1959 "See Scotland by Train" poster issued to mark the bi-centenary of the birth of Burns - reproduced by kind permission of the Science and Social Picture Library.
