Each has a stamp (from a new set) franked with a special first day of issue postmark.
They are printed on both sides and often show reproductions of earlier stamps relevant to theme of the card issue.

The above Royal Mail Forests were issued on 13 August 2019 by Royal Mail and feature the following stamp designs: 1st Glen Affric; 1st Westonbirt Arboretum; £1.55 Sherwood Forest; £1.55 Coed y Brenin; £1.60 Glenariff Forest; £1.60 Kielder Forest. The Centenary of the Forestry Commission first day cover with the Westonbirt, Tree, Special Handstamp postmark has been produced by Bradbury and features these stamps which can make a very collectible and lovely gift.
