Each has a stamp (from a new set) franked with a special first day of issue postmark.
They are printed on both sides and often show reproductions of earlier stamps relevant to theme of the card issue.

The above Royal Mail Mail by Sea were issued on 14 February 2018 by Royal Mail and feature the following stamp designs: 1st Packet Antelope 1780; 1st SS Great Western 1838; 1st SS Britannia 1887; 1st RMS Olympic 1911; 1st RMS Queen Mary 1936; 1st RMS St. Helena 1990. The All at Sea on Royal Mail Stamps first day cover with the London, Stampex - Galleon, Special Handstamp postmark has been produced by Bradbury and features these stamps which can make a very collectible and lovely gift.
