Please note that the only actual stamp on the card is the one postmarked at the top of the front surrounded by a border. Other stamps appearing on the front and/or reverse are printed on the card.
A sort of ‘half way house’ between first day covers and business customised stamp sheets, these A4 designs are printed digitally on high quality card and look stunning.
Each has a stamp (from a new set) franked with a special first day of issue postmark.
They are printed on both sides and often show reproductions of earlier stamps relevant to theme of the card issue.
The above Royal Mail Battle of Britain: Miniature Sheet were issued on 16 July 2015 by Royal Mail and feature the following stamp designs: 1st Pilots scramble to Hurricanes; 1st Spitfires on patrol; 1st Armourer replacing bombs; £1.33 Spotters of the Auxiliary Territorial Service; £1.33 Operation Room Bentley Priory; £1.33 Pilots of 52 Squadron await orders. The St Paul's Cathedral first day cover with the Birmingham, Spitfire Road, Special Handstamp postmark has been produced by Bradbury and features these stamps which can make a very collectible and lovely gift.
