Notes: This cover was issued 50 years ago in 1965 when the Post Office issued stamps to mark the 700th anniversary of the English Parliament. I have a few of these covers remaining (different designs) to which I have added the new Simon DeMontfort's postage stamp now issued for the 750th anniversary. These items are highly collectable. This cover was produced by HOLMES TOLLEY - a very scarce design. The 1965 postmark is Leicester - Simon DeMontfort was Earl of Leicester - You cannot get a better cover!
