Notes:
Star Item: I have never seen this cover before. It has the full set of 1966 World Cup stamps issued by the GPO on 1st June of that year. However, this cover was postmarked on 30th July, the day that England won the World Cup. In itself this is very rare. However, what makes this cover a real gem, is the postmark. Liverpool (Goodison Park) was the venue for some of the earlier matches. I have never seen the LIVERPOOL WORLD CUP CITY slogan postmark on this set of stamps before. Had this been postmarked on the first day of issue of the stamps, it would be worth at least £750. I believe that this cover, in such good condition postmarked on the final day of the tournament when England last won the World Cup is worth every penny of the asking price.
